THE LEARNING STUDIO / 01
SEO coaching.
Learn by doing.
Learn SEO through work you can put into practice: understand what people search for, shape a useful page brief and choose a change you can explain. For beginners, career changers and your own projects.

SMALL EXERCISES. USEFUL SKILLS.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
For people who want to understand the work—not just collect more tools.
Explore before enquiring
Try the open page-brief exercise to see the kind of thinking involved. No signup is needed to read it.
Choose support deliberately
Ask about the Academy or focused coaching. Format, scope and fees are discussed before a commitment.
Keep expectations realistic
Practice builds judgement. Rankings, income and employment are not promised.
A learning path with something to show.
THE PRACTICE STUDIO
01 / See the question
Read beyond the keyword.
Choose a service page. Describe the person reading it, the decision they need to make and the evidence that would help them.
A reader-and-purpose brief
02 / Make the page
Turn a blank page into a useful plan.
Arrange the questions in a helpful order. Separate evidence from assumptions and write a clear next step.
A structured page outline
03 / Explain the change
Build judgement, not just a checklist.
Compare the original with your revision. Explain what changed, why it matters and what still needs checking.
A short review note
YOUR NEXT MOVE
Choose the way you want to learn.
01
Build a foundation.
For a structured introduction to search thinking, useful content and a repeatable review process.
Start with the Academy enquiry. Discuss the available format and fit before committing.
02
Work through a real question.
For people who already have a page, a brief or a decision they want to improve.
Bring a non-confidential example and discuss focused coaching around the work.
Choose your starting point
New to search? Start with what a reader needs and how a useful page answers it. Already working in marketing? Focus on the parts of your workflow that need sharper judgement, clearer briefs or a more disciplined review.
Foundations
Understand intent, page purpose, helpful content and the role of measurement. Build a repeatable process before adding more tools.
Applied practice
Work through research, content planning and quality review. Use AI as an assistant while keeping evidence and editorial decisions under human control.
A useful learning sequence
01 / Understand the question
Distinguish the words someone searches for from the decision they need to make. Define the page’s reader, purpose and useful next action.
02 / Turn research into a brief
Organise the questions, source material and practical details a page needs. Identify what you know, what is an assumption and what needs checking.
03 / Make and review an improvement
Make one focused change. Record why you made it and how you will evaluate it, without confusing a ranking movement with proof of causation.
Try it now: a one-page search brief
1. Start with the reader
Choose one service page. Write the question a potential customer needs answered before taking the next step. Separate that question from the search phrase they might type.
2. Build a useful brief
Write the page’s purpose in one sentence. List the explanations, evidence and practical details the reader needs. Remove sections that do not help them decide.
3. Make one focused improvement
Choose one missing explanation or unclear next step. Improve it, record the change and decide how you will assess whether it helped. Search rankings are not guaranteed.
Academy or focused coaching?
The Academy route is for building a connected body of skills. Focused coaching is for a defined question or project where discussion and feedback would help. Tell us your starting point so we can explain the suitable format, available materials and support.
The scope, schedule and fee are agreed before you commit. There is no checkout on this site.
Questions before you begin
Do I need previous SEO experience?
No. Describe your background in your enquiry so the proposed route can start at the right level.
Is this a promise of rankings or income?
No. Learning and practice can improve your decisions, but rankings, business income and career outcomes are not guaranteed.
Can I learn for my own business?
Yes. If you mainly need priorities or implementation support, compare the business route as well.
Leave each exercise with something useful.
Build a small body of work you can explain—not just a list of lessons you have watched. These are example practice outputs, not a certificate or a promise of employment.
01 / A reader brief
Describe one audience, the question they need answered and the evidence your page should provide. Explain what you deliberately left out.
02 / A page improvement
Keep a before-and-after example with a short rationale. Show how the change helps a reader understand, compare or take the next step.
03 / A review note
Choose a useful signal, record the starting point and set a review date. Separate what you observed from what you can reasonably conclude.
Starting from zero? Use this small first project.
Pick a familiar local service—not a sensitive client project. Write five questions you would ask before buying, arrange them in a useful order, and draft an opening paragraph that answers the most important one. You do not need paid software.
Already working in marketing? Make it a review exercise.
Take a page you have permission to work on. Compare its stated audience, promise, evidence and next action. Identify one contradiction and propose a focused change before rewriting the whole page.
From a vague topic to a useful brief.
ILLUSTRATIVE WORKED EXAMPLE
Imagine a local repair business whose page says very little beyond “quality service”. This fictional exercise shows the thinking—not a client result.
THE STARTING POINT
“Write about repairs.”
A topic alone does not identify the reader, the decision or the information they need.
A MORE USEFUL BRIEF
Help someone decide whether to enquire.
Explain which repairs are handled, the information needed for an estimate and how the next step works. Only include details the business has confirmed.
Open the reasoning: reader → questions → next step
Reader: someone with a broken item who needs to know whether this service fits. Questions: is my problem covered, what information should I supply, and what happens after I enquire? Next step: a clear enquiry route with realistic expectations.
Try the same exercise on your own page
Write one sentence for the reader, three essential questions and one next action. Then check your draft against those four points. Remove any claim you cannot substantiate.
A beginner SEO practice sequence
Read the results before choosing a keyword
Choose one real question and inspect several relevant public search results. Note whether people are being shown explanations, service pages, product listings or comparisons. That is evidence about the kind of answer expected, not a promise that copying the format will earn a ranking.
Turn the question into a page brief
Write one sentence describing the reader and the task they want to complete. Choose a single main question, three supporting questions and the evidence each answer needs. A page should earn its place by helping that reader; repeating a phrase more often is not a useful objective.
Review what changed
Compare the first and revised versions. Can a reader identify the offer, understand the limits and find the next step? Record the change separately from any later search performance. Use the free page-brief exercise before asking about a learning format.
Your first useful piece of work.
THE PRACTICAL TAKEAWAY
Build evidence of understanding—not a collection of certificates.
01 / Choose a real question
Choose one public page and one question its reader needs answered. Write the question in everyday language before reaching for a tool. A useful starting task is small enough to explain without a dashboard.
02 / Make a reasoned change
Draft a clearer title, opening paragraph or content outline. Keep the original beside your revision and explain what changed, who it helps and which assumptions still need checking.
03 / Review your reasoning
A useful learning output is a short before-and-after note. Ask whether the revision actually answers the question, whether its claims are supportable and what feedback would change your approach.
